NotesThe text of these pages was written as a secondary school Geography project for my GCSE in 1988. Ten years down the line and I'm still very proud of the work I did and of my family's involvement in Arley and its history. Given the new technologies at my disposal I decided to code the text and scan in the pictures, hopefully Grandad will be impressed!I've kept the maps and graphs separate (and the pages short) to reduce download times, if you feel a version without the pictures is required please feel free to email me. Any comments, questions or suggestions (of the non-rude variety) are welcomed. If you're working on a similar project (where ever you are in the world) let me know, I'd be interested to hear all about it. I hope you've enjoyed these pages.
The Arley Growing Up site was moved to its own domain andcompletely redesigned in September 2004. The site attracts a lot of attention, notably from people who have since moved away from Arley or who's family lived in arley at some time. I hope that Arley Growing Up continues to be of interest and use long in to the future.
My Grandfather has passed away in the intervening years and is now buried at St Michael's Church, Gun Hill. |
